Baby Boy Forest Friends

Hey there!

Today's card was created for my niece who will be having her baby (boy) shower this weekend.

The theme is "Forest Friends", and I decided to add a leftover diecut from the diaper cake, (scroll down), to her card to keep the theme going.

It was fairly easy to create...just some different colored mats, the sentiment, and I popped up the diecut using foam-adhesives for added dimension.

Thanks for visiting!

Forest Friends Diaper Cake

Happy Tuesday!

Instead of posting a card today, I decided to share with you a diaper cake I created for my niece's upcoming baby shower this Saturday.

I LOVE making these!
They're not that difficult, and not only can it be used as a centerpiece, but the mom-to-be is really appreciative of all the diapers she'll have on hand when the baby arrives.

I used a plastic-cake-platter (from the Dollar Tree), 70 newborn diapers, rubberbands (on each diaper), 2 baby bottles for the middle (4 oz. & 8 oz.), burlap & satin ribbons, the forest animals are diecuts, and I topped it off with a hedgehog stuffed animal from Hobby Lobby for $3, and just some filler in between each layer.

Here is a link on "how to make a diaper cake", with instructions and items needed.

...and here's another one I made a few years ago...
Thanks for stopping by today,
have a great day!

Baby Shower Thank You's

Hey there!

I hope you're enjoying your holiday weekend!

A few weeks ago, I shared some baby shower invitations
that I created for my niece.

Today, I'd like to show you the "thank-you's" I made for her.

These really were quick & easy!

I had some of that paisley DP left over,
so of course I incorporated it into these too!

Thanks for stopping by today!

I hope you'll join us at the A.R.T. Color Combo Challenge this week...

but hurry! Our linky closes Tuesday at Noon (EST).

Happy Friday y'all!

Just another CAS baby girl card today, inspired by one I'd seen on Pinterest.

It's hard to tell in this photo, but the stamped/button panel is popped up on foam-adhesives.

CAS Cute Baby Girl

Hi again!

I know, it's my 2nd post today, but I wanted to get this one done and posted in time to meet the deadline for this week's Color Throwdown challenge.

Here's my creation...

The layout is from CAS(E) this Sketch.

A couple months ago, I made a baby-boy card for my nephew & his wife.  Well, as it turns out...they're having a girl.

And this week's CAS-ual Friday's challenge is to use maps, luggage, or something that "goes", and I thought this baby/rocking-horse image would be perfect for that.

Thanks for stopping by again today!

Baby Girl Shower Invitations

Hi everyone, and Happy Monday...
I hope you all had a great weekend!

On top of being busy getting my A.R.T. Card Challenge blog up and running (enter your Summertime themed card by tomorrow, Tuesday the 18th at Noon, and you could win a Guest Designer spot)...I've been in my craft room making 30 invitations for one of my niece's upcoming baby shower.

Here's how they turned out:

They really weren't hard to make, nor did they take a lot of time.  Now, if I had to create 30 different cards, that would've been a different story.  But with these, I just had an assembly-line going.

I thought since she is naming the baby Paisley, that it would be adorable to add some paisley DP to the invites, and I really love how they turned out.

I'm pretty sure she's going to love them.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Make sure to on Thursday morning, head on over to my A.R.T. blog to see the winners and this week's new challenge (it's a sketch!).

Celebrate Pink Baby!

Hey there!  I hope you had a great weekend!

I absolutely loved this sketch!  In fact, the card I posted yesterday is from the same CAS(E) sketch...this time for a baby girl.  So many people I know will soon be having a baby, so I figure at least one of them will have a girl, right?

Here's a close up of the tag:

Like the other card I created using this sketch, I popped up the tag and "baby" circle to give it some added dimension, and I also used the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder: Birds & Swirls on the bg for added texture.

The color combination is from this week's challenge #36 over at
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenges.  The inspiration came from a beautiful cake decorated in pink, black & white icing.
 You should play along too!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Cute As A Button!

Happy Sunday!

My nephew and his wife are expecting their first child, and I have a gut-feeling it's a boy.  I've been wanting to find a use for this cute button paper from Colorbok "Splendor" and this was the perfect time.

Here's a close-up of the tag:

The tag itself along with the "baby" circle are popped up using foam-adhesives (I just love those!).  Also, if you look closely, I did some scoring on the card to give the bg some texture.

Thanks for visiting today, and if you're looking for some inspiration,

Am also entering this one into the
52 Card Pickup Week 14 Anything Goes Challenge!
