Happy 3rd Birthday Niece!

TGIF!!

Another great-niece of mine (she and her cousin were born just 6 days apart!), is turning 3 very soon, and I incorporated 2 different challenges for inspiration...

The first is a sketch challenge from Tuesday Morning Sketches #369, and the other is from the
CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #156 to "use dimension & bling".

Both of my nieces are just darlings, and I enjoy spending time with them.

Hope you have a great weekend,
thanks for hopping by!

Celebrate Best of Birthdays

Hey there!

I'm in the process of creating some cards for my sister's stash, and this one was fun because I was able to color...coloring isn't just for kids anymore!

I started with Kraft paper, tucked in a bit of blue using the Swirls embossing folder, then added that image after coloring with Prisma watercolor pencils and punching it out.

I think the added twine and button really finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Baby Boy Forest Friends

Hey there!

Today's card was created for my niece who will be having her baby (boy) shower this weekend.

The theme is "Forest Friends", and I decided to add a leftover diecut from the diaper cake, (scroll down), to her card to keep the theme going.

It was fairly easy to create...just some different colored mats, the sentiment, and I popped up the diecut using foam-adhesives for added dimension.

Thanks for visiting!

Well hello there, it's been a while!

Hey y'all!

Wow, it's been almost 3 years since I've posted,
and so much has happened.

Sadly, my Mom passed away unexpectedly in April last year, and I've been at a loss...trying to recoup from losing her.

In an effort to help with my grief, I've been busy back in my scrap-room, creating cards.  I must admit, it truly is great therapy.  The card above was created for one of my dear friend's birthday
(she is also a card-creator, so I'm sure she'll appreciate it)!

I hope all of you are doing well, and I'll be hopping over to your blogs to see what you've been creating as well.

Have a great day, thanks for stopping by!

Aren't these colors beautiful?

Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs, and I'm using
the Sassy Fashionista - Bella Bride image, and here it is:

I absolutely adore this image, isn't she lovely?

The challenge here to me was incorporating these colors for a bridal card, but I think she turned out fine.

gems and ribbon to finish it off.

We sure hope you'll play along with us this week at CC&CC,
we'd love to see your creations!

Have a great weekend!

Happy Wednesday!

Some of you might have noticed that things have been pretty quiet around here, well...there's a reason for that...

I've lost my scrap-room...Eek!

Our son moved back home last week, and all of my goodies had to be boxed up and stored away.  :(

So today, I decided to share a card I created many moons ago, and it's one of my faves!

All of the items used here are SU!, except for the brad and ribbon.

Don't forget to join us tomorrow

CC&CC#43 ~ Life's A Beach & Exciting News!

Happy Friday!

I am SO excited to share with you that I've been asked
(by my long-time bloggy-friend Joanne), to be a Design Team Member for the Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenge blog!

Thanks Joanne!  It's very humbling and I am very honored to be a part of such a wonderful, creative team!

This week is  "Life's A Beach" with Bugaboo Digi Stamps as our sponsor.

I chose the Beach Baby 2 image...isn't she just adorable??  She reminds me of my precious granddaughter...

I haven't used digi-stamps in a few years, and I must say, I am really enjoying it!  You are able to print them off whatever size your heart desires.

My lil' sweetie is colored in using my Prisma, then I cut her and those "splashes" out and popped them up for added dimension.  I sponged some orange & yellow ink onto the white bg cardstock for a sunny-feel.

My waves were hand-cut and I ran those through my Cuttlebug, then popped-up as well.  I finished it off with the sentiment banner, some Fancy Floss and that cute little shell-charm.

I sure hope you'll head on over to CC&CC and play along with us, we'd love to see your "beachy" creation!

Have a great weekend!

~Cheryl

FLLCJUL13 With Sympathy

Hey y'all!

Today's card is my 2nd creation for the

July13SketchChallenge+copy

I started out with Kraft cardstock, and then I used my Spellbinders Labels One dies for that window on SU! Whisper White cardstock.

Both sentiments are from my ODBD "Loving Memories" set, and I just punched the larger sentiment using my large circle-punch.  I also sponged some SU! Old Olive around the edges too.

It's hard to tell in this picture, but that felt ric-rac under the banner is an olive green color (not brown).  And I added that huge button and twine to finish it all off.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Don't forget to head on over to my A.R.T. Card Challenge blog (tomorrow) Thursday morning!  We will reveal last week's winners PLUS start a new challenge
(it's a theme).  I sure hope you'll join us, we're having lots of fun!
