Fusion 30th Birthday Nephew

Hey there!

I needed some inspiration for my nephew's 30th birthday, and found it over at Fusion Card Challenge.

I decided to "fuse" both the sketch and colors together, and this is what I came up with.

I can't believe my nephew will be 30 soon,
my the time does fly by quickly!

Thanks for stopping by!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch challenge over at
Splitcoaststampers SC609, and the color palette from the
to use Delightful Dijon, Always Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler.
(I substituted using More Mustard, Sage Shadow & Ruby Red)

I needed a card for my father-in-law's upcoming birthday and this sketch and color combo worked out perfectly!

Celebrate Best of Birthdays

Hey there!

I'm in the process of creating some cards for my sister's stash, and this one was fun because I was able to color...coloring isn't just for kids anymore!

I started with Kraft paper, tucked in a bit of blue using the Swirls embossing folder, then added that image after coloring with Prisma watercolor pencils and punching it out.

I think the added twine and button really finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Celebrate Red, White & Blue

Happy Wednesday!

Even though Memorial Day has passed, it's never too late to celebrate our American Pride.

I am so grateful to those who lost their lives while at war or in service to protect our freedoms!

This was a totally quick & easy one.  The navy stars were stamped using a star from SU! that I cut out and popped up with foam-adhesives.  Then finished them off with the smaller white punched stars and a glitter pen around the edges.

God Bless the U.S.A.!

CAS Masculine Celebrate

Happy Wednesday!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch challenge over at CAS(E) this sketch, and well....I didn't finish it in time :(

That's okay, it was fun!

The color combo is from the Color Challenge this week over at SCS with dessert being masculine.

The big star is from a scrap of SU! Chocolate Chip cardstock that had the star already punched out, and I cut around it and glued it down, adding that big button & twine to finish it off.

The little stars are from my Studio G punch.

It was quick & easy, and whew!, another masculine card done!

I hope you have a great day!

Celebrate You!

Yah, it's Friday, thanks for stopping by today!

This image is from an older SU! set called Greetings Galore.  My sis gave this set to me recently (along with many other cool items) after she cleaned out her scrap & stamp supplies...Thanks Sis!

I inked it up in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored it in with my CTMH Markers, and cut it out using my Spellbinders Labels One Die.  Then, I re-stamped the image onto Pretty In Pink, cut out the cake and ran it thru my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots Folder and popped it up using foam-adhesives for added dimension & texture.

I finished it off with some black ribbon & pearls.

Enjoy your weekend!

Hot Air Balloons

Happy Tuesday!

Today's card is a fun-whimsical creation inspired by the sketch at
 The Sweet Stop (Challenge #205).

When I saw this week's challenge, my first thought was to create something just exactly like the sketch (using circles).

Yet, when I got to playing around, I decided on cutting this DP in the shape of hot-air-balloons, and went from there.  Then, I had a thought of using some square brads as the baskets...and viola!  My hot-air-balloons creation was born.  This was a fun one for sure!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Celebrate Pink Baby!

Hey there!  I hope you had a great weekend!

I absolutely loved this sketch!  In fact, the card I posted yesterday is from the same CAS(E) sketch...this time for a baby girl.  So many people I know will soon be having a baby, so I figure at least one of them will have a girl, right?

Here's a close up of the tag:

Like the other card I created using this sketch, I popped up the tag and "baby" circle to give it some added dimension, and I also used the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder: Birds & Swirls on the bg for added texture.

The color combination is from this week's challenge #36 over at
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenges.  The inspiration came from a beautiful cake decorated in pink, black & white icing.
 You should play along too!

Thanks for stopping by today!
