CAS Thinking Of You

Hey there...I hope you had a great weekend!

Am rallying myself once again to participate in CAS challenges (Clean & Simple).  As I've said before, it is not as "simple" as you might think.  Well, for me at least, as I always want to add more!

This CAS creation is inspired by this week's CAS(E) #26 over at Case this Sketch.  I love this layout and just had to play along.

The other challenge is for the #100 Challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays.  They are playing Tic Tac Toe over there, and you have your choice of combining 3 of their Top 10...I chose: Polka Dots, Kraft Paper, and Dies.

The dies I chose are these pretty flowers and leaves from Spellbinder's "Rose Creations" die set.  I chalked them up using my Gingerbread Dew Drop and added a big, fuzzy brad to anchor it.

That pretty polka-dot DP is from the Colorbok "Splendor" series.

I love this challenge that combined a sketch with color!

For my creation, I used pink & white ric rac in the background, flowers, brads, dot-embossing and little pearls.

Thinking of You

Hi everyone!

Today's card is a very special one.  

It's for a neighbor/friend of ours that lost her 21 year old son 

(my son's best friend) last year on Aug. 9th due to a car accident.

I wanted to create something special for her to let her know that I'm thinking about her...hoping this small gesture might brighten her day.

The layout was inspired by this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #181, and the color combo is for this week's Color Q Challenge #183 to use Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Blushing Bride. 

(I substituted using SU! Pink Pirouette and TPS Coral).

This pretty flower image is from Verve "Because of You" set, and I popped it up using foam-adhesives.

Card Deets:

Cardstock:  SU! Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette and Coral from TPS.

DP:  SU! "Thoroughly Modern", and Colorbok "Splendor".
