Happy Friday!
Today's card is for several challenges:
1) SCS Way To Use It #420; to use gingham
3) Color Q #182; to use Pool Party,
Wisteria Wonder, Always Artichoke, and Lucky Limeade.
I played around with the editing, and although I did use Rich Razzleberry as the bg and mat, it looks like a dark-brown here in this photo.
Once I got started creating this, I wasn't sure how I'd incorporate the blue into the layout. I ended up cutting out corner pieces for the frame.
The butterfly was stamped then colored in with CTMH Markers and outlined with Prisma Watercolor Pencils. I then cut it out, (carefully around the antennae!), then popped it up with foam-adhesives. I only had a tiny piece of Always Artichoke in my stash and wondered how I would incorporate that as well, and I ended up cutting a tiny piece and used it for the butterfly's body.
After adhering the butterfly, I decided it needed some sparkle, so I used Icicle Stickles in the colored areas.
On to the bow. I played around with the placement of it, and this is where it ended up! I'm still not too sure if it's overkill, but I really wanted to use that gingham!
Color Substitutions: I substituted Baja Breeze (for Pool Party), Certainly
Celery (for Lucky Limeade), and Rich Razzleberry (for the Wisteria
Wonder).
