Hey there!
I hope everyone had a fun holiday weekend filled with good food & good times with your loved ones!
I am super-excited to share today's card with you, as one of the challenges I'm entering it in is the CAS-ual Friday's Challenge "Material Girl"; to use material, fabric, canvas, etc.
Well, I went searching thru my crafts looking for some canvas,
and what did I find?
Some cross-stitching projects I'd done many moons ago!
And I figured this lil' ballerina was just the ticket!
Isn't she just adorable?
I cut her out, popped her up using foam-adhesives, and anchored her with that cute button and floss.
The layout is from this week's CAS(E) this Sketch,
but I had to turn it to fit her in.
My "splotches" were created dabbing a paintbrush into some inks.
There ya go, CAS!
Thanks for stopping by today,
I hope you have a great week!
**Thanks Mary for letting me know this also qualifies for the
Mixability Challenge #23 at SCS!

this is so cute Cheryl-love the cross stitched ballerina. You should check out the mix-ability challenge on SCS on Fridays-its also a mixed media.
Oh. My. WORD! I have so many unfinished cross-stitch projects lying around it's rather pathetic. I am SO stealing this idea!!!
What a fantastic card. I love that you were able to add your cross stitching project.
You are so brave ... it would be so hard for me to put a cross-stitching project on a card!! Whoever gets this will feel so loved, that's for sure. Thanks so much for playing at CAS-ual Fridays!
Amazing!!!! Cross-stitching and cards!!! This is such a great idea and very very hand-made indeed! Thanks for joining us at CAS-ual Fridays Challenge!
That is great that you were able to use an old cross-stitching project on a card! The bear is super cute, and I like the little dabs of color in the background. Thanks for joining us at CAS-ual Fridays!
